Purple Flower Carpet

Purple Flower Carpet

When I look up at a vibrant purple jacaranda tree in full bloom it always makes me smile. It is such a magnificent sight.

You will find new Jacaranda trees, to remind you of the precious memories growing up in Pretoria, with its streets covered with a purple flower carpet.

All the best for the new adventure.

Dear Lucy

I heard I am your favourite. You are my favourite too – but don’t tell the others, I don’t want them to feel bad or miss out on any treats they might want to share with their Golden Boy (Ben).  You looked beautiful.  Sorry for stepping on your dress.  I really just wanted to give you a kiss. I noticed another handsome guy – a bit taller than me, intruding on our photo session. I allowed him to be in some photos just to keep the peace.  Okay okay not true – I was informed he was your date and I am not allowed to join at Velmore Hotel and Spa.  Perhaps next time I will bring you flowers too and get to go out with a gorgeous girl at my side.

Love Ben

The life of Pie and her humans

The life of Pie and her humans

Celebrating special moments.

A special little boy arriving soon, and the best of all? His big brother is awesome and super excited to be a big brother.  Doing a maternity shoot in the comfort of your own home, especially if your due date is around the corner, is just perfect. A bed, the baby’s room and you are set, for beautiful photos. Oh and don’t forget to get some dog treats – it always helps to get the 4 paws in the family to sit still for a bit longer.

Summer Christmas in Africa

Summer Christmas

Such a special time to spend holidays together and even more so if the family arrived from France, Belgium and Madagascar.  Then met up with their Pretoria family and we had some fun in the streets of Waterkloof. So is it safe to say that The Girl With The Camera just went International?

Have a safe journey home!

“If you think dogs can’t count, put three dog biscuits in your pocket and then give him only two of them.”

Puppy Raisers are very special volunteers who take a puppy into their homes, lives and hearts for 11 to 18 months and then, just when that mischievous puppy has developed into a well behaved and mature dog, they give them back!  Many of them then start all over again with a new puppy!  This is a volunteer program by the Guide Dog Association of South Africa.

While the puppy is with the Puppy Raisers, they are socialised as much as possible.  It is very important that the dogs are introduced to as wide a range of experiences, places, people and animals as possible.

If you have any queries regarding the Puppy Raising Scheme, please contact one of the Puppy Raising Supervisors :
