Love is in the air, everywhere I look around
Love is in the air, in the whisper of the tree
Love is in the air, in the rising of the sun
Pretoria CBD is officially one of my favourite spots. Character and charm of old buildings around each corner, with a few new modern buildings creeping up to introduce new life into a once very vibrant area.
Being greeted by friendly security guards and friendly pedestrians we got to see the inside of the Nederlands Bank, now used for the city’s tourism offices. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Just as I thought I couldn’t be more surprised with what this city could offer at 6 am on a Saturday morning, we came across more and more beauty. I am so glad Anke & Christo was brave enough to step out into the cold for the very early and very cold engagement shoot.
Thanks, Pretoria CBD for your charm and friendliness. Next time we want coffee Cafe Riche.
She said: I will.
Congratulations on this next big adventure.
“There is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment.” When friends get engaged it seems fitting that an E-shoot is in order. It wasn’t a whirl wind romance or love at first sight – but a couple ready for a lifespan full of adventure and love when they decided to commit to one another.
A city is distinguished from other human settlements by its relatively great size, but also by its functions and its special symbolic status. Pretoria CBD a gem I need to explore more often. Great architecture surrounded us as well as a surprising joyous vibe that followed us as we changed locations during the photo shoot. Overlooking the Pretoria State theatre from a nearby building rooftop we could catch the last of the soft winter sunlight before the surrounding high-rises buildings were the only sight left on the horizon. The capital’s hustle and bustle made up by locals jamming on the street corner in front of the State Theater’s entrance and the famous Taxi drivers hooting their way true late afternoon traffic.
Once you wake up and smell the coffee, it’s hard to go back to sleep.
More than just great coffee, I was able to catch great moments between Michele and Dirk, soon to be married.
What a privilege to capture moments of love, connection and dreams coming true.
Looking forward to your wedding.
Can’t wait for the wedding in June this year. Happy wedding planning. Enjoy every moment.
Looking back on your engagement shoot, I am privileged to have been there all the way through the wedding up to the second little girl coming your way.
You are truly blessed. Enjoy family life.
The beginnings of love, the falling in love part, gives us starry eyes and butterflies in the stomach. It gives us someone, even better than a friend, to dance and dine with, someone to adventure with.
It’s these reasons why we want to write sonnets and sing love songs — and why love makes us do things that other people might even think are a little crazy.
